Letter Requirements
- Length: 150–300 words
- Must be original and not previously published
- Must address a current issue or recent news
- Must not include defamation or unverifiable allegations
- Edited for clarity, length, and accuracy

Submit an Op-Ed or Guest Commentary
Maryland Bay News publishes guest essays that contribute meaningfully to Maryland’s public dialogue.
Op-Ed Requirements
- Length: 700–1,200 words
- Original, exclusive to MDBayNews
- Arguments supported by facts and verifiable sources
- Disclose conflicts of interest
- No defamation, personal attacks, or unverified claims
